Our Story
This app is based on a Jugyosho "If you could see an Atom" 1976, for Hypothesis-Experiment Class (Kasetsu). *
Over the years, many students have enjoyed introductory classes on atoms and molecules based on this Jugyosho.
Kasetsuis a unique Japanese science class format established by Dr. Itakura in 1963. The specific teachingmaterials for Kasetsu are called Jugyosho.
One of those students was so inspired by the class that he dreamed of developing an app to let us see animatedmodels of molecules. He was 14 at the time, and his hobby back then was programming. Later, he went on tobecome a professional programmer and was able to realize that dream, alongside his former teacher and theauthorof the Jugyosho.
This app is for use in the classroom and allows kids to share a fun experience while learning that the world ismadeof atoms.
It can also be enjoyed as an e-book.
Knowing that air is made of moving molecules, by observing simulations in real time, is the first step for kids tounderstand the world scientifically. The field of view is changeable on the screen that has a gesture icon. A screenwith a temperature bar can simulate changes in thermal conditions. The simulation can be treated as a classroomexperiment whereby kids are encouraged to discuss expectations in advance and select prediction options.
It is fun to learn what happens when the average speed of molecular motion changes; the actual image of the word"average" makes it easier to understand the various phenomena that the word applies to.
Please note that these simulations are for beginners and do not pursue the accuracy of molecular dynamics.
The frequency of occurrence is exaggerated for rare type molecules in the air.
We hope this app will be an excellent way for you to experience the atoms and molecules and to learn aboutscience.
